Metal Manifestations
This is an ongoing project that I regularly teach children, especially near Christmas. But it can be done at any time of the year, as we adapt endless themes.
Originally it was inspired by Mexican Street Art called Hojalata, which is making impressions in metal. It is usually made by people with limit resources and the materials can be dangerous, however we use graded aluminium that is thin and malleable with simple, everyday tools

ARMOUR!
In the past I have made metal art objects that articulate.
I wanted to make something that was wearable and also sculptural.
Honestly, I am really happy with these as objects/sculptures, but once they were on my body they were surprisingly unimpressive and a bit gimicky! I think perhaps they just weren't big enough or enough of a statement.
Glad I experimented though!
